So last night I heard my little man crying around four in the morning and went in to check on him and with one touch my heart sank. My little man was burning up and having sick kids breaks my heart. The first thing he says is, "Beebee, I want beebee." I don't know why my little man wants to sleep with a baby of Keilee's, but I think it is cute. Shows his sensitive side, right? Whatever, he is only a baby and it has taught him to be nice to babies so I am not going to complain. He has got so attached to this thing, he carries it around and always asks for it when he takes a nap.
So anyways I went and found the baby and the next thing he says is, "I want cup...I want cup." So I went and got him a drink and when I brought it back he said, "Uhh-Uhh, I want cup." Ok so I brought him a glass cup instead of his sippy cup (my bad) so I had to go back and wash one of his sippy cups and bring him the drink again which he then drank. He knows what he wants and I respect that. Having kids with a mind of their own is so much fun!
Sorry break I started to reread this post and started counting how many "so"s I had...a whopping eight...I think I am obsessed with this word...seriously. I don't know why but "so" is a much needed word in my vocabulary apparently...lol...at least for right now it is!!
All day today (err..yesterday) my little man was whinning cause he just didn't feel good and was still burning up. So what I did was picked him up and sat on the couch and held him until he feel asleep. I can honestly say I miss those moments. Rubbing his back while he slowly drifts off to sleep...LOVE it!!
Point of this story is sick kids break my heart because I realize how vulnerable they are and how much they just want to be loved and cuddled. I made a pact with myself that I was going to hold my kids in my arms for as long as they will let me at least once a day. I know this sounds weird, but when life gets crazy and kids are running a-muck I forget how important a touch/hug can be. I guess what I am trying to say is life is never too busy for a little lovin'!
